ABC 33/40’s Talk of Alabama’s (TOA) host Katherine Page talks with Dr. Jeff Samoranski on his latest book, Lacey Jo and Savannah Walk the Lakeside Loop.

Dr. Jeffrey R. Samoranski has loved dogs and stories ever since childhood. Today, Dr. Samoranski is a high school engineering teacher who believes that reading—and especially the joy of reading—is essential for success in school and in life. “Reading should always be fun and promote creativity.”

Growing up with dogs and now a grandparent to seven amazing grandchildren, Dr. Samoranski finds endless inspiration in family, learning, and imagination. His stories originate from the everyday, playful antics of his two goldendoodles, Lacey Jo and Savannah, who live with Dr. Samoranski and his wife, Ashley, in central Alabama. This is Dr. Samoranski’s fifth children’s book in a series of eighteen fun-filled tail-wagging adventures. He and his beloved goldendoodles were recently featured on ABC 33/40’s Talk of Alabama, where he shared the inspiration behind the series and his passion for helping children discover the joy of reading.

Dr. Samoranski holds a doctorate in education and has spent his career supporting student learning and curiosity in the classroom.
