Dr. Jeffrey R. Samoranski has loved dogs and stories ever since childhood. Today, Dr. Samoranski is a high school engineering teacher who believes that reading—and especially the joy of reading—is essential for success in school and in life. Reading should always be fun and promote creativity.

Growing up with dogs and now a grandparent to seven amazing grandchildren, Dr. Samoranski finds endless inspiration in family, learning, and imagination. His stories originate from the everyday, playful antics of his two goldendoodles, Lacey Jo and Savannah, who live with Dr. Samoranski and his wife, Ashley, in central Alabama. Dr. Samoranski has published five children’s book in his eighteen-book series that features Lacey Jo and Savannah and their fun-filled tail-wagging adventures.

 Dr. Samoranski holds a doctorate in education and has spent his career supporting student learning and curiosity in the classroom.
